Are you interested in joining the SHARE:UK network of Libraries of Things?
We are in advanced stages of formalising as a UK-wide charity to facilitate sharing across the 4 nations of the United Kingdom. We have set up the framework and legal structure and are now in the final stages, awaiting confirmation from the Charity Commission to formalise SHARE:UK and begin helping new Libraries of Things (LoTs).
SHARE:UK is a nationwide network of federated LoTs facilitating the birth and growth of new LoTs. Each federated LoT will be able to run independently while benefitting from being connected to the national body (use of templated systems and procedures, start-up help including hands-on consultation, branding, access to funding and more).
We anticipate being ready to take on Libraries within the federated structure later in 2021.
